Important: the world's first 'anti-aging gin' is now available in Ireland

Say what now?

HAVE YOU EVER sipped a gin and tonic and thought to yourself, “This is nice, but I wish it had some anti-aging properties”?

Well, today’s your lucky day!

An anti-aging gin called CollaGin (get it?) is now available for purchase in The Loop in Dublin Airport.

CollaGin describes itself as “the beauty drink du jour” and “a classic gin with 11 botanicals including star anise, pink grapefruit and orris, but with the innovative addition of pure collagen“.

Mmm. Pure collagen.

The company was founded by “gintrepreneurs” (their words, not ours) Camilla Brown and Liz Beswick.

They told Daily Mail earlier this year that they wanted to marry booze and skincare, and claimed that drinking collagen-infused drinks would help keep skin “youthful and resilient”.

Gin surpassed a billion pounds in sales last year and is on the up, however even with so many new gins launching all the time, none have the unique selling point that Collagin has. As we age, our collagen breaks down so drinking pure collagen helps keep our dermis youthful and resilient.

*scratches chin*

The gin is now available through The Loop in Dublin Airport and costs €60 a bottle.

Nobody said eternal youth was cheap, eh?
